Eastern European Day @ the Brooklyn Cyclones

On June 9, 2024, the Brooklyn Cyclones, Single-A affiliate of the New York Mets, will host their highly anticipated Eastern European Day Celebration. This festive event aims to honor and celebrate the vibrant Eastern European community in Brooklyn while also showcasing the rich cultural heritage of the region.
As part of the celebration, the Brooklyn Cyclones will wear specially designed uniforms adorned with artwork created by Ukrainian children. The artwork prominently features the national bird of Ukraine, the white stork, symbolizing unity and community spirit. This initiative not only pays tribute to the Eastern European heritage of Brooklyn but also highlights the talent and creativity of young artists in the local community.
The Brooklyn Cyclones are inviting aspiring artists to submit their artwork for consideration by Monday April 1, 2024. All of the submitted art the white stork themed artwork will be printed and featured on the Cyclones’ uniforms during the game!
The winning design will become a team’s logo for June 9th game!
Requirements for submission:
- A white stork must be featured in the design
- Physical artwork must be on a 8″x10″ or 4″x5″ canvas ; a maximum of 3 colors can be used for a physical design
- Digital artwork must be an EPS vector of any size, up to 8″x11″; a maximum of 4 colors can be used for a digital design

Additionally, jerseys worn by Cyclones players during the Eastern European Day game will be raffled off, with proceeds benefiting a local organization [Insert Organization Name] dedicated to supporting the Eastern European community in Brooklyn.
The Eastern European Day Celebration will coincide with the Cyclones’ 2 PM game against the Aberdeen Iron Birds at the iconic Maimonides Park located on Coney Island. Festivities will commence before the game and continue throughout the event, promising an exciting day for fans of all ages:
